Il primo post del nuovo anno non riguarda i saldi, né la neve, ma la musica! Iniziamo in grande stile questo 2014 con Federica Farassini, torinese, ascolta musica tutto il giorno e ci recensisce gruppi e cantanti che la colpiscono e che a volte conoscono in pochi, MA, di questi artisti si risente parlare alla radio qualche anno dopo e sono sempre delle bombe! E' un piacere avere la mia cara amica e collega di bravate Federica Farassini come ospite nel nostro blog. 26 anni, nata a Biella, cantante e appassionata di musica, critica e irriverente, saprebbe uscire dal coro in ogni occasione; LaFetch collabora con LesMademoiselles per arricchire il blog con un'altra arte che amiamo molto: la musica! Did - Bad Boys

 Se è finalmente finito il periodo in cui vi svegliate canticchiando 'Santa Claus is coming to town' o 'Feliz Navidad' (e mi auguro per voi che sia così) è giunto il momento di ascoltare della buona nuova musica. In questo caso si tratta dei Did con la loro ultima fatica: 'Bad Boys' (Foolica Records). Uscito a ottobre 2013 il secondo disco di questa boy band di originaria formazione torinese, ma che il tempo ha visto subire dei cambiamenti di line-up, è un disco niente male. Ha un sound tutto fuorché italiano, cantato in inglese e sembra arrivare direttamente da un take in un club londinese a tratti newyorkese. Hanno abbandonato i k-way gialli (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QQWt79vqJY&hd=1) che tanto ci piacevano e hanno spostato l'asse un po' più in là, pur sempre continuando sull'onda della new-wave che a sto giro hanno contaminato abbondantemente di hip hop e punk funk. L'album ha dei pezzi potenti al suo interno come il singolo 'You read me' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luICcT9-CHk&hd=1), 'Second chance' (che però mi ricorda un po' troppo Caribou) e 'Belong to you', uscito come anteprima dell'album con un video di un contemporary-vintage melancolico (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzJNp1720ro&hd=1).

Io sono patriottica, cerco di conoscere la musica che fisicamente mi circonda e cerco anche di farla conoscere. Il punto è che i Did non hanno bisogno di grandi spinte, sono bravi e si sanno vendere bene.

A Torino sono parte di una realtà che mi ha accompagnata nella crescita personale e musicale (i tempi dei Murazzi erano bei tempi), mi hanno fatta ballare e mi hanno fatto scoprire cose nuove. Did - Bad Boys

If it has finally ended the time when you wake up singing 'Santa Claus is coming to town' or 'Feliz Navidad' (and I hope for you it is so) it's time to listen to some new good music. We're talking about Did with their last album: 'Bad Boys' (Foolica Records). Came out in October 2013 it is the second studio album of this boy band, with pristine formation from Turin, but that with the time has changed its line-up, and it's definitely worthy. It has certainly not an Italian sound, it's sung in English and it seems to be like a take in a London, or sometimes even a New York, club. They abandoned the yellow k-ways that I highly liked (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QQWt79vqJY&hd=1) and they have quite moved the axis though keeping on with the new-wave now tainted with hip hop and punk funk. The album contains powerful pieces how the single 'You read me' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luICcT9-CHk&hd=1), 'Second chance' (even if it reminds me a little bit too much Caribou) and 'Belong to you', came out as a preview of the album with a melancholy contemporary-vintage video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzJNp1720ro&hd=1).

I am patriotic, I try to know the music that physically surrounds me and I even try to spread it. The fact is that Did don't need any push, they're worthy and they know how to promote themselves.
