..Ho sempre amato le domande retoriche..
Vi ricorderò comunque che è la nostra critica musicale più acuta e originale, non ci recensirà mai Claudio Baglioni, né altri artisti che "tutti" conosciamo come quelli che piacciono a me; lei ascolta solo gente che a metà della recensione deve fermarsi e dire:"forse vi starete chiedendo chi cavolo è CiccioVattelappesca"… ma l'adoriamo per questo! Federica Farassini, colei che mi farà uscire dall'oblio dell'ignoranza della musica straniera, dottoressa in qualcosa, di Biella, giovane e soprattutto mia cara amica e compagna di avventure.

Tutta la popolazione a me nota è andata in vacanza, inondando le mie bacheche di foto di tramonti, spiagge, cocktail, feste e chi più ne ha più ne metta. Al di là del fatto che consiglierei a tutti un po' più di sobrietà nell'esibizionismo, mi avete fatto rosicare non poco. Io sono nella mia piovosa cittadina-bucodiculo-
i, mi ha fatto più volte viaggiare con la fantasia portandomi dove (purtroppo) non sono. Quest'album è tutto ciò che mi sarei aspettata da RAM dei Daft Punk (che mi ha deluso non poco). Qua c'è ciccia per ballare e per spassarsela per un'oretta buona.

Comunque, per rispondere alla domanda che molti di voi si staranno ponendo "e chi ca**o è Todd Terje?", posso dire che è uno dei dj più quotati al mondo, di natali norvegesi, leva '81 e che, da quel che ho letto, è una delle persone che più fa la bella vita (per come io la intendo) dello showbiz internazionale: se ne sta un po' nella penombra del suo essere produttore, ma intanto è sempre al posto giusto nel momento giusto e ha tempo per cazzeggiare e creare bombette musicali, tutte raccolte in quest'album. Infatti è il suo primo LP, ma al suo interno possiamo trovare pezzi come Inspector Norse uscito nel 2012 e come anche Strandbar, Swing Star, Pt. 1 e Swing Star, Pt. 2 facenti parte dell'EP, sempre del 2012, It's The Arps. La cosa più bella, a mio avviso, è che anche se questi pezzi sono stati scritti in periodi diversi, una volta uniti all'interno di un solo album trovano la loro omogeneità rendendo il disco estremamente fluido e piacevole. Qui dentro si trova una buona mescolanza di generi musicali: dalla dance anni '70, all'instrumental jazz miscelato alla house musiccon una spruzzatina di suoni esotici sambeggianti e featuring da pazzi con gente del calibro di Brian Ferry che danno un risultato incredibilmente fresco al sapore di gin tonic in riva al mare.
Suoni devastanti, non c'è neanche da dirlo; un solo consiglio: usate le cuffie.

Todd Terje - It's Album Time
Everyone I know has already gone at the seaside flooding all my walls of pictures of sunsets, beaches, cocktails and parties and so on and so forth. Beyond the fact that I'd suggest a little bit more sobriety in your exhibitionism, you've made me feel envy of your conditions since I'm stuck here in my home-fucking-town where it doesn't stop raining since March. But anyways I've found a relief: It's Album Time by Todd Terje (2014, Olsen records). This album, in fact, made me travel with my mind towards places where (unfortunately) I'm not. In it I've found everything I was expecting by Daft Punk's RAM which really quite disappointed me.
Answering the question, that most of you are probably thinking "But who da f**k is Todd Terje?" I can say that he's one of the most notable dj in the world, born in Norway in 1981, and that, since what I've read is one of the men who best lives his life (according to my standards): he lives a little bit in the in the background of his being a producer, but at the same time he's always where he's supposed to be and he doesn't find it difficult to find out the time to dick around and compose the music he loves. Inside this album we can find all his major productions, in fact there are songs taken by his 2012 EP It's the Arps(Strandbar, Swing Star, Pt. 1 and Swing Star, Pt. 2) and also his major success Inspector Norse (always from 2012). The nicest thing in my opinion is that even if the songs are from different ages once they're put together in the same record they're absolutely flowing and homogeneous. In it we can find many different genres from 70s dance music to the instrumental jazz, going through house music with some sprinklings of Brazilian samba, ending with an amazing crazy featuring with the enormous Brian Ferry. All this put together gives a pleasant flavour of a gin tonic on the seaside.
Disturbing sounds, obviously; just a suggestion: listen to it with headphones.
